Alex has the clear memory of smiling like an idiot as he’d stuck the note inside the blu-ray case and placed it down with the specific idea of lending it to Henry, along with a “To remind you what good taste in movies is like, baby”; thinking Henry would get home and open it to find the note and then tease Alex about his sappiness for days, probably, because they were boyfriends. And then they’d gotten sidetracked.
As it turns out, it could have been so much easier.
