Summary
It's still fragile in the way graces are — easy to break, harder to hold. But not tonight. Tonight it’s simple — the weight of Frank beside him, both of them breathing like they’ve finally earned a little rest.
OR: Matt and Frank go for a drive.

Summary
In some universes they're not even together, not romantically or sexually—like in that horrible dream, even though she thinks they would've ended up together in that universe too, given a few more years and a couple of beers—in some traces of this multiversal mess, Matt and Foggy are just friends. But my God, are they best friends. Like brothers. Like sisters. Matt would've died for Foggy and Foggy would've killed for Matt.
She stares at the courthouse steps of her own goddamn universe and just feels sad.
(There was a time, she believes, where maybe, perhaps, she and this Matt could've been friends. Or friendly acquaintances. Certainly more than what they are now.)

Summary
Once, Frank had Matt pinned, on his knees, his head in a chokehold, Frank’s boot on the back of Matt’s calf. “C’mon,” Frank had said, “try it, try to get away, c’mon.”
Matt had still overpowered him, gotten out of his grasp, and then Frank was prostrate, face down on the concrete, Matt’s knee bearing down on his spine. “Fuck you,” said Matt. It had been fantastic.

Summary
“Red – Matt – I sure hope you can hear me.”
The van turned a corner toward a sea of tail lights. Frank growled in frustration and hooked a left so fast the whole vehicle swayed in threat. On the seat beside him, the police scanner – tuned to their secure channel, the main one was dead tonight – barked static and street names, Target spotted on the roof of –
“You really stepped in it this time. They got the whole force out looking for you,” he called, fighting the sense that he should be speaking quieter, though no one could hear him in the privacy of his van – no one but, hopefully, Matt. “I’m headed your way. Alley off 52nd toward the Greenway. Get there, and I can get you hidden.”
