Kazuha shot a glare at Xiao, then turned back to Scaramouche with a sigh, the latter not meeting his eye.
“You’re looking for him, aren’t you?”
Scaramouche curtly shook his head. “He’d be an actual dumbass to show up tonight.”
“Isn’t he though?” Xiao quipped. Kazuha gave him another look as the crowd began to grow louder. Scaramouche managed a small scoff at that comment, then strummed a clear chord on his guitar. A cheer came from the audience, and Xiao followed his lead with a few taps of his drumsticks and a heavy foot on the bass pedal.
“He really is,” Scaramouche replied back to Xiao, before turning on his microphone.
“And that’s what I miss the most about him.”

There was silence. The man didn’t tense up like he did earlier. In fact, he didn’t move at all. It didn’t even seem like he was breathing. A strange breeze ruffled both of their hairs.
“I don’t keep in touch.” He said finally. “The wind takes me where the wind takes me. This is just my most recent stop.”
“I don’t care,” Childe shrugs, not feeling completely lost yet. “You’re interesting. Can I at least get a name?”
“Good night, Childe.” The stranger sighs, gathering his books and standing.

"Easy," a low voice says above him, tone calmer and gentler than any of his other captors so far. He feels light fingers graze against the injury on his neck, and fear flashes through his unfocused mind. He trashes and bares his teeth in a growl, the iron taste in his mouth clogging his senses as his injuries throb at the sudden movement.
The person retracts their hand for a second, before settling it against his bruised hand, "It's okay," his voice sounds strange, choked almost, "it's… it's alright. I'm here now."
