Silence tore its way into the room, filling it until it was suffocating. Chuuya held his breath. He didn’t move. Didn’t make a sound. If he did, the fragile balance they walked would shatter beneath their feet.
He couldn’t give him that power.
He couldn’t hand him control.
Chuuya had let his guard down around him. Fool that he was, he had forgotten that the invisible leash around his neck belonged to that bastard.
One wrong step and—
Dazai brushed his chin with his fingertips to get his attention. Chuuya leaned back. There was nothing in his face to suggest a trap, but this was Dazai. He swallowed, his throat inexplicably dry.
Dazai lowered his hand.
“I don’t know what the hell—”
“Shoot me.”
His chest caved in.
Or: Chuuya flinches every time someone pulls a trigger. Dazai is fascinated.

“Sure, going undercover at a dumb, prestigious hero school is awful. And it’s even worse considering neither he nor his partner have any experience in the realm of proper education; kind of hard to ‘blend in’ with real students if they don’t know what they’re doing. Never mind the fact that this is a hero school and they are, you know, not exactly heroes.
But for some reason, that alone wasn’t difficult enough for Dazai.
Which leads to Chuuya’s current predicament: he’s standing at Dazai’s side in front of a bunch of starry-eyed kids and Dazai just introduced himself as Nakahara Chuuya.”Dazai and Chuuya are hired as bodyguards for UA’s number one problem class :) Obviously, Dazai decides to make this mission as difficult (as annoying for Chuuya) as possible by whatever means necessary.

Dazai disappears in the middle of delicate negotiations, and no one seems to care. He’s probably laughing at Chuuya from some seedy hideout, right? Chuuya knows this. He knows him. Even so, he can’t shake the bad feeling in his gut.
“You needed somewhere safe.”
Dazai’s expression sharpened. “Don’t flatter yourself, Chibi.”
“Then why?” Chuuya asked. “Say it. And maybe I’ll let you walk out.”
A crooked smile.
“What is this? Kidnapping? You?”
“Don’t piss me off.”
“Or what?” Dazai stepped closer, and the air thickened. “What are you going to do? Beat me up? Tie me to your bedpost?”
“Break your face, idiot.”
Kiss you until you forget how to breathe.
Or — Dazai is spiraling into one of his worst ruts yet, and he decides to make it Chuuya’s problem by sneaking into his apartment.
