Summary
“What are you and George doing for Valentine’s?” Sapnap suddenly asks.
“What?” Dream turns to look at him as if he’d unexpectedly grown a second head.
Sapnap appears to be very perplexed by his best friend’s reaction. “What are you two doing for Valentine’s? Also, what are you getting him?”
Dream looks around, not really knowing what to say. Does his best friend think he’s dating his other best friend? And if so, what could have possibly given him this impression?
All their friends think Dream and George are dating, so why should they clarify that they are in fact not? Valentine's a perfect occasion to start dating your best friend, apparently.

Summary
"You knew I liked you," Karl says. His voice nearly breaks. "And you kept doing these things, and I thought I could be okay about it. I kept telling myself that friends do these things, that we're just friends. Close friends. But you kissed me. Are you fucking with me? Is this fun to you?"
Sapnap has never heard Karl speak like this. He sounds frustrated, angry, and betrayed all at once. Sapnap doesn't know what to say. But Karl keeps speaking -- he's been holding back for a while, it seems.
"I thought we were friends. You fit neatly into this box. My roommate. Friend. One of my best friends. All the lines were neatly drawn, and nothing was confusing. But then I told you I loved you, and that fucked everything up."
The line they don't cross: Karl is in love with Sapnap, and Sapnap knows. They don't talk about it.

Summary
When George's teacher recommends him to be manager of the football team he could hardly stand the idea. Voluntarily staying after school, being around arrogant assholes, and spending his Friday nights on a cold bench? Hell no.
But maybe, two of those "arrogant assholes" convince him to stay.
