this one made me cry. very sweet. it's less wish fulfillment than borger_25's works, this feels a lot more real. i also like that her disability is focused on, i wish more people would do this

墨色頭冠堪堪掛在那乾枯佝僂的軀體上，男人那代表性的長髮一撮一撮地落下，露出底下滿是色斑的頭皮，眼眶的凹陷比黑巧克力失去眼球的那隻眼窩更甚，曾象徵著戰士歷經風霜的體魄，此時卻比八旬老翁更加瘦弱，肌肉萎靡得貼著骨架，而那雙佈滿屍斑的雙手緊攥著重劍，盔甲已經稱不上是穿在對方身上了，只能說是勉強掛在這具乾屍之上。

the 'you did the best you could [as a father]' line left a *really* bad taste in my mouth, but the rest was very cute
edit: i have to ramble a bit lol (genuinely nothing against the author or anything i just have thoughts)
like, you can forgive someone without justifying what they did, yknow? feeling unloved doesn't just come out of nowhere... he was cold and distant, and didn't praise or encourage her; and didn't really listen to her either given the CoD story flashback. like he just plainly was a bad dad, why make her justify it and say he did his best. hindsight is 20/20 and whatever but he still could've done moreidk, parents really need be held to better standards. how someone reacts to cacao's treatment of choco tells you a lot about what they think of parents and what they're allowed to get away with
