Summary
Umbreon and Espeon have not had an easy life.
After becoming reformed criminals alongside their trainer Wes, shadow Pokemon quickly join the team. But shadow Pokemon do not have empathy, kinship, or love. Only when purified do they resemble a creature that is more than a fighting machine.
With a full team of purified Pokemon, Wes heads to Mt. Battle to challenge Dakim and foolishly bites off more than he can chew. His team pays the price and now Umbreon and Espeon find themselves in an unfamiliar world, one without humans and shadow Pokemon. They desperately want to reunite with the trainer and team, but as time goes on they begin to doubt if they truly want to meet again.
Regardless of their new budding wishes, trouble finds them again.

Summary
Sephiroth is a cunning man with the power of a god at his fingertips. He decides that the greatest possible victory can be achieved if he turns back the hands of time and takes Cloud with him to the earliest days of Cloud's childhood. While Cloud is unable to remember his adult memories due to the physical limitations of a baby's brain, Sephiroth shifts the deepest foundation of their bond from hatred to manufactured affection.
Where taken seriously, this has dark and lasting consequences.
Where taken less seriously, Sephiroth goes from bad guy to dad guy.
