This is for those fans of Manacled by senlinyu - a truly excellent story - who nevertheless yearn for SS/HG.
The premise of that story is that Draco will turn spy for the Order in exchange for HG. The premise of this little work is what would happen if Snape offered to help HG out before she went off with Draco for whatever that will look like.
Ch 1 is from HG's perspective, Ch 2 is the same story from SS's perspective.
It wouldn't really work, it would throw off the details of that story. But we'll do it anyway, because fanfiction!
