So Jesper had explained the whole story, of how every time he thinks of marriage he accidentally uses his powers to make a ring, and how Wylan doesn’t know any of this, and how until one of them proposed to the other, Jesper was simply doomed to accidentally make every metal object in his range an engagement ring because he wanted to marry Wylan so badly it was a little insane.
“I think this is an extremely easily avoidable problem, Jesper,” Nina tells him, rolling her eyes and Matthias nods in agreement. Jesper was on the floor of the Slat, and he made no attempt to stand up. “Just propose to him.”

Summary
It's been a year and some change since Edwin stood on a step below Charles, bloody, beaten, green eyes sparkling, and told Charles that he was in love with him. He told Edwin it didn't change anything between them, and it didn't. But it didn’t necessarily do nothing to Charles. No, he actually thinks it might have changed him irrevocably and all that. “Dunno. Out.” Charles strides over to lean next to him. “What's that museum you were going on about? Or we haven't scared the daylights out of ghost hunters in ages, that’s always a laugh. Or gone sightseeing, I've always wondered if we'd be able to mirror hop to the reflecting pool at the Taj Mahal.” He nudges Edwin’s leg with his foot. “Come on, Edwin. The night is young and so are we.”
