"I was, uh, a sentimental fifteen year-old. I thought if we really were soulmates then our paths would cross whether we tried or not."
Dazai doesn't say he once thought the exact same thing.
Or, the Port Mafia is like a disease. Every time you think you've gotten rid of it, it mutates and reaches you again. Dazai flees to Nebraska, USA after years of isolation and, by luck alone, meets his soulmate in a coffee shop. Only Chuuya Nakahara isn't just Tied to him; he's tied to the very same Port Mafia Dazai's spent all his life trying to escape.

Though the words punch the air out of Aki's lungs, all Makima does is nod in one singular, fluid motion. There is no hesitation in her gaze. She had been expecting this demand.
You must learn to control your new partner, she'd told Aki, once. Do what you must to make it work. And ever since then, he was making it work. Or he thought he did. Aki had been so occupied tightening the leash around Angel's neck that he hadn't noticed the one clasped around his own.
Or, Aki knows that if he admitted to how much he wants, he could never forgive himself. So he keeps quiet. He watches. And, sometimes, something slips out.

Summary
Angel looks up at him with those nightshade-lethal eyes, long hair askew like he's been running, flushed to the tip of his nose. The overhead lamp casts harsh shadows across his face. Aki watches him like one might some kind of feral cat, half drunk on anxiety and affection alike. His pulse is skittish. He can feel it hammering against the hollow of his throat.
"Are you afraid?" Angel whispers, resting his chin against Aki's thigh.
"No," Aki says.
"You look afraid."
"I want to kiss you," he admits.
Or, Aki loathes all devils. Perhaps he would loathe Angel too, if only he could see him as one.

Summary
An employee dressed in stripes welcomes him and asks if there's anything he's looking for, in particular. Aki mumbles something that he hopes conveys enough, squinting through fluorescent mall lights, and the employee's face lightens.
"Ah, a present," she says. "Is it for a girlfriend?"
Aki opens his mouth and nothing comes out.
Or, the Angel Devil is Aki's new partner, and as partners, they are required to cohabitate. It's hard enough, playing house around a flatmate capable of killing him with a touch, without bringing in feelings to the mix. But then Aki starts to feel.

"The people who keep showing this on national TV are worse than clingy exes," he says. "It's been two weeks, assholes, everybody moved on. Nobody cares anymore. Television people whine about not getting enough watch time since streaming went global, but then they won't even get with the program. It's ridiculous."
For some unfathomable reason, the camera shifts lower to show off the curve of Childe's throat and the cut of his jaw. Scaramouche is so outraged he sputters in his seat.
"Why the fuck would anyone want to watch this?"
Lumine snorts. "For the same reason you haven't switched channels yet."
He throws the remote at her face.
Or, Scaramouche's lived his entire life half-stuck to the global platinum band that is the Harbingers. When he emancipates from it, he doesn't expect that it'll propulse him into another, lesser-known band that's everything the Harbingers was not: warm, kind, and infused with bubble gum pop.
In parallel, Childe, a minor indie celebrity who's orbited around him for years, crash-lands straight into his business and doesn't seem willing to leave.
He used to be emotionally constipated: he probably won't be for much longer.

Izuku was dead, Katsuki was alive (although he didn’t deserve to be), and those were facts.

Izuku watches long fingers slowly reach out of the glass, wrapping themselves around the mirror’s edge as the man steps into real life. It smells like sugar and smoke. The clouds follow him out as he bows his head to fit his deadly-looking horns through the frame, red tattoos glowing faintly all over his bare torso and half onto his leathery wings. He makes the rest of the room seem dimmer just by standing in it. Molten metal eyes bore into Izuku’s, paralysing him as he kneels on the floor in front of this beautiful, terrifying apparition.
“I summoned you because want a boyfriend,” Izuku says and then winces at the shallowness of his own request. “I mean, I want to fall in love. I want to be assured that I’ll find someone someday who’ll love me the way I love them. Who isn’t grossed out by me. By the way I am.”
The demon tilts his head. "I offer you a place at my side. You want companionship? I give it in exchange for your soul.”

Alright. Maybe his idiot friends had a point, Katsuki thinks as he shoulders open the front door. His mother’s in the living room drinking coffee. Katsuki kicks off his shoes and stomps over. “Am I charming?” he demands, blocking the TV.
Mitsuki pats his cheek. “Oh, hon. Not at all.”
He goes upstairs. The bed makes a pomf noise as he faceplants into it. He needs a date for the sake of his pride, but there has to be a guarantee he won’t get rejected. Gossip travels and he’s not inconspicuous. He can already see the future headlines. Exposé : Bakusatsuo, failure at prom.
He sighs and rolls over. “Fine,” he says to the All Might poster next to his bed. “I’m not showing up to that dance alone. We’ll go with plan B.”
