Kohane’s hands are trembling, the light emanating from her phone too blinding in the darkness of her room. The name on the screen blurs, but she doesn’t stop staring at the device, at the outgoing call she only barely remembers scrambling to start.
She hiccups, shutting her eyes.
“Yeah… we need to talk,” An had said, sucking in her lower lip as she uncomfortably shifted her weight to her other foot.

On some days, Liko finds herself reminiscing on what she used to lack in life. On other days, she takes a look around and catches herself feeling grateful for what she does have now.
But on most days, for one reason or another, there's a certain dullness she can't quite satisfy. It only got worse, during the year apart from everyone.
