Sniper never found the need for socialization, living a better part of his life in the bush, slow roasting under the Australian sun. He liked to be alone. He had to; it was just under the requirements of his job. No reliabilities, no weaknesses, no one else to blame but himself. He had already far surpassed any point that needed proving, if there was one to begin with. He was completely fine being an alien observer till you showed up. Under the premise of “evaluating mental states,” you seemed to begin to bother him in every moment of his life. Yet he couldn't help a persistent thought from lingering in his head.
Maybe he would like to try being with someone else as well.
