Adam wanted to tie his hands too, but Ronan said he'd only do one thing at a time. It's not that he doesn't trust how well Adam knows himself, but rather that he thinks Adam is too likely to push himself too hard, too fast in the name of penance. Ronan doesn't need that from him.
All he needs is Adam in front of him, quietly gorgeous with his restless hands, freckled, tan skin and the black of an old scarf covering his brilliant blue eyes. Ronan leans in and blows cool air over Adam's deaf ear, making him shiver.
"Come on," Adam says, annoyed, and Ronan finally kisses him properly.
