Summary
The problem with Scott is that he's always there- sleeping in Wallace's bed, waiting for him when he gets home, dragging him along to gigs with this new band of his and walking to Second Cup on mornings off. There's no time to think, no space to forget.
But Wallace makes peace and with time he knows it will drift away. The memory will become hazier, less real and will fade amongst all the hands that have touched Wallace's body after. Or at least it would, if not for this.

Wallace rolls his eyes. "Only gay guys. So, what, you're gonna get a boyfriend instead?"
Scott looks away at this, a little embarrassed that Wallace would suggest it, even as a joke. It's not like he's never thought about it, just thoughts. Never more than just thoughts.

Although he's missing his yellow flight visor, he's still wearing the rest of his hero costume, fluffy jacket pulled tight against the cool spring air. And Midoriya forgets, just a moment, that Todoroki had pulled him into the enclave to interrogate him about his relationship with All Might (and wasn't that worrying) because in front of him was number three pro hero Hawks, calling out Todoroki's first name like they were best buddies.
And how did Todoroki know Hawks?
