that being said: did I cry? uh YA. but that's not saying a lot cause I cry a lot! it has its moments but its definitely of its time... I don't really like how handled Italy, they baby him a lot.. and also what's with the spamano..??? and usuk?? what the heck..? I read this when I lowk didn't know anyone but gerita so I didn't rlly know how weird it was, but like now that I know that they RAISED them that's so gross omg!!! the part with Austria was like whaat????? also I didn't really like the part where they r aged up in the end, I thought it was kinda weird. ALSO ITS BLATANTLY HISTORICALLY INACCURATE! im nowhere near a history buff or anything and even I can tell!!!that being said I love gerita.. I think the scenes where they're under the tree learning each others languages are cute. It was stressing me out when Germany got caught oh my GOD that was terrible. I read this in a cabin w/ no wifi so for that, it was good. I was able to imagine the scenery when we went on hikes. ya. ill always think about this when I see the words auf weidersehen. im glad it got me more interested in hetalia but there's DEFINITELY better fics

Arthur Kirkland was the strangest-looking man Francis had ever seen.
He had these large, unruly eyebrows that massacred his face. Other than that, he wasn’t too bad looking. He had large, emerald eyes and a cute nose that Francis wanted to reach out and run his finger against. He wasn’t completely ugly, but his eyebrows definitely made him look strange.
Not to mention his horrid personality. For someone who claimed to be a gentleman, he did a great deal of yelling and cursing at the slightest chance that someone disagreed with him. He was easy to tease that way. His pasty cheeks would flush red as he started to yell and whine at the person poking fun at him.
It was cute, Francis decided. He needed to have this weird Englishman. He needed this more in his life than anything he’d ever had.

Francis decides to start flirting with Arthur in French, confidently saying words he would never say in English.
