Summary
There are three things Tsukishima Kei knew to be true. Three facts of life he stood by and never questioned.
1. Volleyball.
The sport was always there for him and provided comfort and familiarity, even if he didn’t find it as fun as he used to anymore.2. Yamaguchi Tadashi was his best friend.
Kei wasn’t one to make friends very easily with his aloof demeanor and sarcastic as well as harsh quips. Somehow, Yamaguchi glued himself to Kei’s side all those years ago despite this, and even caught onto some of Kei’s less favorable personality traits.3. Kei likes girls.
He has to, right? He’s never questioned what his future would look like because it was simple. His mother expected him to find a nice girl to get married to and settle down with. They would start a family, Kei would probably be working somewhere like the Sendai Museum, and life would be fine. No, scratch that, life would be good of course. Great, even.{or} Tsukishima Kei never bargained for falling in love with a boy, especially not the former Nekoma team captain and current JVA employee Kuroo Tetsurou
