It’s easy to follow the path set for him by his father. His mother had, almost immediately after giving birth to him, rejected the responsibility of raising him, after all. Legacy secured, job done. But his father, shallow as it was, still expected things of him."
Douno Cheung is not a real person. He's just an empty shell, a vessel for his father's expectations. He views his own life mostly from the outside. A character study of my own original character who takes Misato's place in this Evangelion AU, up until the start of the show.

Summary
The site seems like a pretty standard military base, concrete and brick and barbed wire. There are some airstrips in the vicinity, too, outside the chain link fences. Cheung probably works here, since he’s supposed to be a military captain or something. I have no idea why he signed up for it, I’m already depressed just thinking about having to come to a place as dreary and hostile as this all the time.
I can see why my mother set up here, it matches her perfectly.
Cheung silently leads me through the compound, to a red door made of thick metal where he swipes a keycard and punches in a code. I can’t stop myself from running my fingers along the sharp plastic edges of my visitor lanyard - if whatever is behind here is important enough to require this much security, why would my mother want me to have any part in it?A slightly-to-the-left interpretation of Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) with my own original characters.

Goro stared into his coffee, small bubbles swirling in the even beige liquid, following his spoon as he pushed it around and around. He’d been staring for a while, assuring Sakura-san he was just letting it cool off so he didn’t burn his tongue, but he couldn’t be sure how long ago that was now. He raised the cup to his lips just as the door opened with a cheerful chime.
“Honey, I’m home!”
The milk in his coffee curdled on his tongue as the second most aggravating person in the world disrupted the cafe’s serenity. Goro turned and smiled, transforming his frustration into pep.
“Don’t you have a girlfriend to use a line like that on?”

Summary
First, Ryou's father, the well-respected archaeologist Asuka Sousuke, comes at him with a knife and kills himself instead. Then when he moves back to Japan where he grew up, when he decides to reconnect with the one person he ever met he could call a friend, he’s informed the guy’s entire family died in some bizarre serial murder spree.
It's a little suspicious, to say the least.

Both Yuan and Kratos are weakened from the mana transfer, leaving them in no state to help out when Mithos steals a body to resume his rampage and destroys the Tower in the process. The grove around Origin’s Seal is shielded by his power, so Lloyd agrees to let Yuan and Kratos recuperate there while he and his friends do what they can to save the elves from the falling debris.
