When the ancient powers of Zalgo and the old ones awakened at last, it was then all of existence in every universe knew the end was nigh. Cosmic powers clashed, and a war began. The funny thing about cosmic wars though? They have the tiny, very small, almost insignificant possibility of recombining every single reality, timeline and uni/multiverse into one messed up psuedoverse of screwed up energy and several trillion or so resurrected souls and non-souls.
Now, mass murderers of legend walk casually down the street attempting to spook teenagers, and it's perfectly normal to see the giant demon-powered fighter jets burn away the quadrillionth invasion of the spider planet - again. Just as everyone is sick and tired of writing cliches, so is humanity sick and tired of the horror world (unfortunately for them).
At this point though, most people are: done with this shit and fight back against the edgelords, just so accustomed to it that it’s considered normal, or chaotic enough to join in on the shenanigans. Really, it's your choice. Just don't click that spam email unless you want a disembodied skull to permanently haunt your new PC.

Summary
There are certain experiences that can bring together those from radically different backgrounds, the sort that shatter all assumptions of reality and force one to reconsider what they know. Michael wishes to simply leave the past, but his future may just be even more terrifying. But it doesn't need to be.
In a new body with a old purpose, Michael is lead by a voice and forming all new connections, from a lonely teenager to a remorseful Mii, from children haunted by demons they cannot grasp to errant AI, from an out of place puppet to an out of place detective. Forces even greater than Afton are at work, and powers growing within him and others. There is a plan in place, and Michael needs to find a way to protect not only himself, but his new family as it churns forward.
It is either that or annihilation.

“…I enjoy fish,” Narinder mutters, quiet enough that he hopes the Lamb doesn’t hear. But their ear perks up, stars in their eyes as they quickly look at him, grabbing him by the arms instinctively. Narinder’s fur stands on end.
“Fish! Fish I can do! I’m not amazing at fishing, but I can bring you some fish back. Could take a trip to Anchordeep, maybe, once the door’s open again,” they ramble on, oblivious to the way Narinder’s tail flicks behind his back. For someone with mind reading, they’re rather terrible at reading people.
Or, five times the Lamb initiates contact with Narinder, and one time Narinder initiates contact with them.

Summary
Betrayed not once but twice, Narinder receives mercy from the Lamb following his defeat. He will bide his time for a chance at revenge, even if it takes another thousand years.
Lambert decides to take a page out of Narinder's book and become someone willing to wait. They will befriend the now-furious god they fell for, even if it takes a thousand years.
Too bad the Mystic Seller had to drop a boulder into still water. The Bishops get involved in their lives once more, and Narinder only gets more enraged as one by one they make their reappearance. And like some leech taking a ride for the fun of it, a disgusting illness sneaks its way into his mind.

Due to a small shift in the turn of events, a fateful trip to the candy club by Skid and Pump, the forces of the town begin to shift, altering the course of something far beyond their—or anyone's—comprehension.
