  Summary

  Laudna adores her job and adores her life. If she has to stay a little bit in the shadows to enjoy it safely (baked good enthusiasts could be suprisingly judgemental), then that is quite alright with her. And if she uses her craft to work through some former life traumas, then that is between her, the evil necromancer lady that used to live in her head, and her refusal to see a therapist. It's not as if anyone in Marquet would ever make the connection between her silly pastries and some tragedy, that happened like thirty years ago in a tiny city-state on the other side of Exandria...right ?

  Summary

  Now, Imogen stands a few feet away from a misshapen spectre that represents the very woman she’d sworn Laudna she’d deal with, and all she can feel is pure rage. It’s so strong, intense enough for Imogen to wonder if this is how Ashton feels when he’s fighting. For once, there are no uninvited voices in her head – instead, Imogen can only hear the fast thump-thump, thump-thump, thump-thump of her heartbeat. It burns in her ears, welcome and unwelcome all at once. Imogen finds she doesn’t care; all she cares about is dispatching Delilah & her staining presence from Laudna’s mind, even if it’s the last thing she’ll ever do.
