Summary
The sound of fighting drew him closer. He grunted silently and then slipped without a sound to the orcs advancing on the two dwarfs, one clutching at his shoulder. Bilbo slid forward and then with one swoop, sliced the orcs knees from beneath them. He raised his sword and drew it sharply across the orc’s heads, severing them. The bodies toppled to the ground.
“What in Mahal’s name …?” The taller dwarf abruptly stopped as Bilbo lifted his gaze, pulling out a dagger. It was discharged and flew into the gap between the dwarf’s head, hitting the last orc that had snuck up on them. The two turned, eyes widened to saucers.
“Hello.” Bilbo greeted warmly. “I assume the two dwarflings that smacked into me on the road were your nephews?” Bilbo asked as he smoothly threw another knife, kicking upwards. The orc flew through the air and hit a tree with a crack. A dagger lodged him into it by the throat. The majestic looking dwarf nodded and swallowed heavily as Bilbo dispatched the last orc. “Oh, wonderful. I sent them ahead to get some other hobbits to lead them to my home when they told me that you two were left behind. They should hopefully be sat before a fire by now, getting mother henned over by my aunt.”

After his mother delivered him to the earth and covered him as it's proper, both his parents waited for weeks until he was ready to bloom. He would come out of the soil on a nice evening in September, and his mother would feed him a mushroom from the ones hanging on the higher parts of the tunnel, right over his seeding ground. "

Summary
A smut fic that turned into a speedrun through the Hobbit and an exploration of Consort Bilbo all inspired by this tik tok:
“Omegas making their nests in gardens. The flowers bloom when they’re in heat. (Alphas either have to endure poison or thorns to claim them)” @thecoffinarcThorin’s voice cut through the air. “And how does one manage to pass through such dangerous terrain? Obviously hobbit omegas do mate. We saw plenty of children running around in the Shire.”
Bilbo whipped his head up, caught under Thorin’s heated gaze. Was he asking out of curiosity? Or because he was interested? No, that couldn’t possibly be why. “Of course! Brute strength won’t do it, or at least it’s never worked for a hobbit. The only way to have safe passage through an omegas garden is to be their fated mate. I believe you would call it your One. They are resistant to the poisons, and unharmed by the thorns.”
Bilbo was pulled into further questioning by Balin, but he couldn’t help but allow his eyes to wander back to the King. Thorin was still looking at him, as if considering something. Bilbo’s heart raced and he desperately tried ignoring the hope growing in his chest.

Summary
After the battle, Bilbo is hurt by Thorin's actions on the ramparts. He flees without a word to the company back to the Shire where his world is changed forever. What happens though when years later Bilbo is called back to Erebor by the other half of his soul? Would Bilbo be able to move past what happened then or is the bond broken forever?
