Summary
"Beth’s party was planned for the following weekend. She had managed to negotiate a festival-themed sleepover, replete with camping in the back garden. Some things about being a teenager never change, Charlie had thought. It was Beth who had pointed out that this was a perfect opportunity for her dads to use the fancy hotel voucher they’d been given last Christmas by Jane and Julio. A compelling argument, Charlie had had to admit, and felt the now-familiar, but still strange, parental solidarity with his mother. He had confided as such to Tori, who offered to stay overnight in the house, in the guise of cat-sitting."
Beth turns sixteen.

Summary
The problem with telling everyone, repeatedly, for five years, that you’re over it, is that they believe that you are, in fact, over it. Even if that’s a lie you’ve never managed to convince yourself of.
The problem with weddings is that you’re forced to try and celebrate the happiest day of your friends’ lives, while either wanting to die, or scream, or set fire to something, or perhaps fully lose your mind, turn up in the white dress you thought you’d have worn by now, back aged 17, disgustingly in love.
What if Elle and Tao broke up before uni and never got back together?

Summary
"It was Jane of all people who had suggested Norfolk to them, knowing their love of the coast. They were staying in a B&B that made Charlie feel like they had travelled back in time.
He looked over at their daughter who, in contrast, seemed to wear a permanent scowl these days, though whether it was due to age or circumstances, Charlie couldn’t say. Beth was 12 now, on the cusp of not wanting to spend her school holidays with her dads.
Perhaps skipping out on Menorca this year had been a foolhardy decision."
The Spring-Nelsons head to the coast for their family holiday.

Summary
****On indefinite hiatus - if you are interested in adopting this fic to finish please let me know****
"“I was just saying babe, my sister has a tent you can borrow, and we can easily sell your other ticket last-minute, it’s been sold out for weeks now!” Elle wasn’t giving up without a fight.
The original plan, of course, had been to go with Ben, the four of them together, Charlie’s first festival experience. Charlie had hoped that this weekend away might have been the start of a better friendship between Ben, Tao, and Elle. Ben had shattered those plans by cheating on him with Imogen. And then lying about it. And then…
Charlie pushed the unwanted memories out of his mind. Back to the issue at hand. Maybe he should go, after all? It could be a way to start fresh, to rekindle the spark he knew he’d lost along the way. It was better than spending all weekend sitting inside at his parent’s house, playing Mario Kart with Olly, after all. He had the rest of the summer ahead to do that.
He sighed, and found himself agreeing."

Summary
"Nick knows, in theory, that today is the day of the author visit. It’s been added to the school calendar, he even mentioned it himself in morning briefing, and Tara has been in constant email communication with him about it. This doesn’t stop him from doing a poorly-hidden double-take when Darcy brings their visitor through to meet him.
Should have known better than to stereotype, thinks Nick, internally berating himself. The most gorgeous man he has ever seen, is currently standing in front of his desk. A riot of dark curls sits atop a tall slender frame, with the bluest of blue eyes staring warmly out of an elfin face. This gorgeous man holds out his hand for Nick to shake, and Nick resists the impulsive urge to grab it and run away with him. “Hi. I’m Charlie Spring.”
AU. Nick is the headteacher of St Elias Primary School. He's in his 30s, depressed, and painfully single.
This is the story of how Nick and Charlie find each other after years of feeling lost.

Summary
"Time is a flat circle."-Ilya Rozanov at the draft of his and Shane's son.
Mac Hollander-Rozanov has been captain of the Canadian Juniors team twice, was the youngest member of the 2026 gold medal Team Canada Men's Hockey Team, and was the first overall draft pick in 2026. To Montreal, which is... Complicated. Really complicated. His bio parents kicked him out for being gay, and he wouldn't trade his family for anything in the world, but being the gay poster boy for the team that shunned his dad for being gay because he has his dad's name? He can't even focus on just playing hockey because everything he does is either good for the Metro's image or good for his supposed rival.
Aristotelis Floros has been captain of the American Juniors team twice, was the youngest member of the 2026 silver medal Team USA Men's Hockey Team, and was the second overall draft pick in 2026. To New York, which is a dream come fucking true. He's playing with Scott fucking Hunter, even if he announced 27-28 would be his last season Aris still gets to play with him! So fuck you, Hollander-Rozanov and your handsome fucking face and your goddamned superhero rescuing tendencies. Aris Floros is going to win the Stanley cup first.

Summary
Shane pulls back, carefully cradling Ilya’s face. “Maybe we shouldn’t.”
“You don’t want to?” Ilya’s eyes are bottomless; swimming with grief. He says it like he really means, You don’t want me?
“That isn’t what I mean,” Shane says gently, brushing his thumb over Ilya’s cheekbone. Ilya’s eyes flutter shut, as if being treated so tenderly causes him physical pain. Like he isn’t used to it. “You’re hurting. I don’t want you to regret it in the morning.”
Ilya’s eyes open. “I have never regretted a moment with you.”

Summary
“Watch yourself, Rozanov,” he says in Russian, voice low and dark, and oh, holy shit, Ilya should have known teaching Shane his native language would be the death of him.
“I would rather watch you.”
Shane moves off the stool he’s been sitting on with one fluid movement. “Not now.”
“Later then?”
Shane rolls his eyes. “Pervert.”
“Not what you said an hour ago.”
Ilya feels Shane’s foot bump into his, and their thighs brush just barely. But it’s still enough to make Ilya want to abandon all of this and drag Shane back upstairs. “Behave, Ilya,” he says, slipping back into Russian. “You know they can't know.” He turns. The look he throws him is a little too close not to affect him. “We both want it that way.”
Oh. Right. That.

Or Ilya and Shane attempt to hide their relationship at a charity gala. It goes about as well as one would expect.

Scott: I’ve been getting asked if it’s me. I considered denying but if we all deny and one person doesn’t, that sort of gives their identity away and I’m not sure they want that.
Ilya: Everyone thinks is me. My agent asked if I want to comment too
Scott: Wait, it's not you?
Ilya: Maybe 🤔 Or maybe not 🤪
Eric: What?Or: When Adrian Dela Cruz reveals he dated an NHL player, chaos and damage control ensue. A story told through texts, tweets, and one pretentious Variety article.

Raising Shane Hollander
Title from "How Love Works" by Joe Mills
"When Shane was born, Yuna had been overwhelmed by how very much she was willing to do for the tiny boy she held in her arms. The moment they handed him to her, she swore she would tear the earth apart if it would keep Shane safe and happy.
Now, 26 years later, she's going to prove it."
