“What are you worried about, then?” Ema asked halfheartedly. She knew it was stupid, but she really did wish things would return back to normal, at least now.
“The people I’ve left behind.”
Ema paused, a Snackoo halfway to her lips. “Ah.” Who knew all that time in the clink could turn someone so philosophical? Lana usually tended to be more…fuck around and find out.
Lana’s demeanor shifted slightly, her half-eaten bagel left aside permanently. She leaned over, and intertwined her fingers under her chin.
“Do you keep contact with Maya Fey?”
After being released from prison, Lana goes to Maya to channel her sister one last time.
