Summary
‘’I must go to Minas Tirith. My road lies there, and yours to Mordor." Aragorn wiped Frodo’s tears gingerly and hushed him, longing to give him one last moment of solace ere they parted. He had become unbearably protective of the hobbit since meeting him in Bree, perhaps more than he should have, his conscience had scolded time and time again.
He closed his eyes and turned his head to touch his forehead to Frodo’s. "Let the thought of the Fellowship give you strength. Don't forget me. Even when the ring tries to corrupt you, do not forget me," Aragorn nearly prayed.
"Then… give me something to hold on to.’’

Summary
Yoichi unlocked the flat with numb fingers, face stinging from the wind, and almost groaned at the warmth inside. It was dark, but the ambient light streaming through the windows was enough for him to take of his jacket and shoes in the foyer, where they had already started dripping melted snow. He tiptoed across the living room, hoping, praying that Noel was asleep.
‘’Yoichi,’’ his flatmate called out just as Yoichi believed he could slip into his room unnoticed. He was already in the unlit hallway, leaning against the doorjamb of his own room. He was dressed for sleep, eyeliner taken off, though seemed wide awake. He’d probably been reading.
‘’Hi?’’ Yoichi tried, voice cracking miserably. He wished he could just turn into a pair of house slippers right about now.
‘’You sound a little hoarse. Are you sick again?’’ Noel tilted his head.
Yoichi nodded eagerly. ‘’Grim was sneezing all day, and the weather—‘’

Summary
Noel thought Yoichi was a good flatmate. He was generally quiet, did his share of chores and more than half of the cooking, and always paid any expenses in time.
But he had one odd indulgence.
He was always sleeping with other football players. It wasn’t every match, but it happened often enough to be a pattern. Win or lose, home or away, Noel saw him leave for their opponents’ hotel. He was very discreet, didn’t let it interfere with his game, giving Noel no opportunity to nag him. Be careful, Yoichi. Don’t trust strangers. Stay safe. I worry about you, he wanted to say.
As disgruntled as he was, the Frenchman could force himself to understand. Yoichi was young, his life overrun by football, but he still had needs.

Noel’s chest rose with a deep, shuddering breath, nails lightly sinking into the paper-covered vinyl. Yoichi stopped, his touch heavy on him, and the athlete had the impulse to shuck him off, spine arching like a frightened cat’s. ‘’You would know that. Tendon tear?’’
Yoichi glanced down at his feet. ‘’Is it obvious…?’’
‘’No, no,’’ the Frenchman grumbled, ‘’The surgery scar is visible above your sock.’’
He didn’t know why he cared so much about not hurting Yoichi’s feelings, although his sweet, expressive face may have had something to do with it.
‘’Yes, tendon tear in high school. I had to change career paths and graduated in sports medicine. Trying to help others not end up like me.’’ He gave a small smile and returned to the original subject. ‘’Besides, muscle strains are painful.’’
‘’Massages are also painful,’’ Noel noted dully, hyperaware of Yoichi smoothing down his back and legs. ‘’I can manage most strains with just stretching.’’

Summary
This particular evening, we don’t have any Neo Egoist League match to see, but I still slip out of the common area after dinner and head to Noa’s room. We can just watch last season’s Bundesliga.
I walk down the corridor and knock at the door, where ‘Noel Noa’ is etched onto a metal plaque. The usual quick summons doesn’t come, even after I knock again. Risking chastisement, I take a chance and open the door.
The man is sitting on the octagonal bed every room has, long legs curled up under the issued comforter with the Blue Lock logo on it. He’s looking down at something, and a skein of yarn is rolling at his side. He’s… knitting?
He looks up at me, his eyes widening just a fraction, and sets his work in his lap. Not minding that I intruded, he asks with the faintest smile, ‘’Are you going to come in, or just stare?’’
