Summary
A broken, disillusioned Steve Rogers is afflicted by a delusion that the mysterious assassin who nearly killed him is actually his best friend, who died 70 years ago. SHIELD wants to lock him up and return him to being a perfect, sparkling nationalist symbol as quickly as possible. Sam Wilson, who has wrestled with his own disillusionment and his own ghosts, knows that Steve needs compassion and the support of a true friend, not a forced regime of recovery that takes away what is left of his shattered autonomy.
Meanwhile, as Natasha tries to track down the Winter Soldier, her discoveries get more and more disturbing. She uncovers footage of the Soldier being subjected to, and forced to commit, horrific acts to maintain Hydra's cruel hierarchy. What's more, his resemblance to Steve's dead friend is too close to be coincidence. Sam and Natasha grow determined to stop the Soldier from being recaptured by his abusers, but how will Steve react when he learns the true extent of the Soldier's torture, and the true horror of what he was twisted into?
Is the Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes? Or is he something wearing Bucky Barnes's face?

Summary
Emperor Palpatine dies unexpectedly a year before the Death Star would be deemed operational. His heir apparent, Darth Vader, startles the galaxy by passing up the throne, and then passing it on to the newly-elected Senator of Alderaan, Leia Organa, after the Force leads him to directly to her. The new Empress inherits a terrorized galaxy, a broken Empire to tear down from the inside, and the weirdest second-in-command anyone can imagine.
Or, Vader accidentally hands the galaxy to his rebel daughter, Bail Organa panics professionally, Leia attempts not to get assassinated, and Palpatine rolls in his grave.

Summary
Bernadelli, for all its flaws, was a company Meryl knew the ins and outs of by virtue of working there for so long. Her own mentor was highly respected, so while he was alive, Meryl was able to coast off the respect garnered from being associated with him. Six months after he died, that’s when the questions about whether she was planning to settle down and get married began. Even the other women who were employed by the society—with the exception of Millie—seemed to be bothered by Meryl.
Either way, Meryl was established there, and the Age of Chaos tore it to pieces. There isn’t a single insurance company on the planet now, and with Earth Federation businesses popping up all over the place—but particularly in November—Meryl had felt it was time to move. Millie had agreed, though she’d had some reasonable qualms about whether or not they’ll be able to afford it, hence the plea for investment. Meryl was feeling confident about the matter when she thought Millie would be at her shoulder. Now…

Summary
The paper within started off as a typed form letter, addressed simply, “Dear Citizen,” which thanked him for being willing to take on the burden of such intense personal upheaval and such thorough secrecy. Wolfwood skimmed the puffed up nonsense once he clocked that the mysterious, important work they’d be doing would stay both frustratingly mysterious and vaguely important. Further down, he found neat handwriting, the only part of the page that had been personalized.
