"It's not his Christmas dinner," Seonghwa volunteers, moving to the bowl on the dresser where he keeps his favorite earrings and rings. "It's Jongho's mom's, actually."
"Why on earth did he invite you to Jongho's mom's Christmas dinner, then?"
"Because Mrs. Choi is like a second mother to Hongjoong, and she said he could invite me," Seonghwa continues, trying to sound as neutral as possible.
The attempt makes minimal difference. Wooyoung's jaw has dropped already, eyes wide as he takes this all in.
"Shit," he breathes. "No wonder you're nervous; you're basically meeting the parents already—"
