What it says on the tin, all my wild ideas of "what if" and "how about" in the Star Wars universe. Some are holdovers from my ff.net days, others are newer and shinier. A few start off unique series of their own, but most tend to be self-contained snippets, as my Muse presents a cool idea for me to write down and then never think of it again. I've had a LOT of these stored up from over the years, thinking I needed to have a fully fleshed out multi-chapter or long-shot story before posting something, but- recently I learned one can still attract a fanbase of readers even without mastering the art of 50k stories. So. Here we are x)

While captive in the orc pit, Arondir reflects.
Arondir stiffened and drew his attention back to the dusty earth. He had been watching the sun too closely, pulled in by its whispered promises. The earth gave him less heart, but it was worthy of observation, too. It held its own beaten beauty. The way the shelves of clay wrinkled and crumbled beneath his bone-pick. The twisted shape of a root clawing out from the soil. The sound of cracking and bleeding as he broke into it. The smell of sap dissolving quickly in the parched air.
Such was his routine: a rotational observation. Before long, this vigil would sink his spirits even lower. He could not bear to give such attention to his own act of destruction, and he knew this was an inherent weakness of his soul, an enduring failure of his craft.
All things should be loved, even in their loss.

After the Númenorean victory, Arondir tends Bronwyn's wound, and they process some of the trauma of the previous night. Set during S1E6.
Slowly and carefully, Arondir unfastened the pins on her shoulder straps, his fingers deft and delicate, barely brushing her skin. The dress came apart at the juncture, the straps sliding down her back, the cloth pooling at her waist. Beneath lay her linen bodice wrapping. It had become soaked with blood, which was now dried and stiff, sticking to her skin, digging and chafing at her flesh. Suddenly — desperately — she wanted it removed, even though she knew it would make her vulnerable — leave her unshielded and exposed.
Silently, as if understanding her thoughts, Arondir moved behind her, sliding his fingers along the knotted tie at her back. “I imagine there will be some pain,” he said.
