Truthless Recluse doubts that very much. And yet, he finds himself opening the front door anyways.

Summary
The deal was that the Sage would stop directly encouraging his students to climb the mountain to the Peak. In turn, the Recluse would visit the Sage once a week for a debate about the nature of Truth and Deceit.
In hindsight, he should have leaned into the scepticism more rather than blindly grasping at any offer to stop the large influx of new seekers that had materialised since the Sage’s arrival; debates about Truth and Deceit had turned into debates about philosophy, and then into debates about whatever subject matter the Sage taught in his lecture for the day, the Recluse watching them from the shadows rather than turning up once they were over. Then, debates in themselves had turned into casual conversation. And then… into whatever this was now.

Perhaps it's time to enter the rift between worlds and search for it's heart himself; to make a place of learning that's open to cookies from all walks of life.
