Lumine is the abyss princess.
Aether is the savior of Teyvat.
One would have thought they would be enemies, even if they were once connected by blood, by fate, by (familial) love. After all, why would the hero ever be caught spending their precious time with the villain?
Well, heh, whoever thought that was wrong. Very wrong.

Summary
Since they had come across the Abyss Herald who mentioned a familiar corruption with Dainsleif, and Aether had told her how he failed to protect the people of Khaenri'ah, Lumine had wondered just what was so bad. She knew enough about the fallen Kingdom to make an educated guess. Khaenri'ah was powerful, too powerful, and the Gods destroyed it.
Lumine watches him tend to her wound and braces herself for the answer.
Dainsleif pulls back from her arm. The wound was partially shut and wouldn’t bleed immediately, which was better than nothing. He wanted to shield away from her gaze but found himself holding strong. Lumine brought him comfort; she reminded him of home.

Summary
It starts—as most things do—because of Aether. Lumine will forever swear that if it weren’t for her twin’s imminent need to be obsessed with her personal life, she would have never fallen as far as she did.
Of course, Aether likes to swear that if it weren’t for his timely intervention, Lumine would have never gotten herself the “hot evil sugar mommy”.
Which, okay, first off, La Signora is most decidedly not Lumine’s sugar mommy. Sure, she buys her nice things and is infuriatingly helpful in all aspects of life, but only to a reasonable degree. Really!
Anyways, Lumine digresses. It was all Aether’s fault.
