Summary
The halls of Hogwarts remain the same as Snape walks through them one more time on that first day of September. It is the beginning of the course, the war finished in May, and now students giggle and talk and chatter excitedly as every other year, but it makes Severus frown. It almost feels as if the war never happened, as if nothing changed.
Severus shouldn't have survived the war, he never intended to, and yet here he is, once again locked in that bloody castle with students he hates. And with him.

Summary
Severus Snape wants absolutely nothing to do with the new Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts. She's bubbly, and gentle, and kind. All of things he hates the most.
But when she accidentally leaves a journal in the staff room full of salacious ideas for what appear to be for a book she's writing, he suddenly finds himself intrigued.
Severus returns it to her, but not after discovering that she's been suffering from writer's block. And for some unfathomable reason, he just can't seem to halt the offer that comes out of his mouth. To help her get past it.

Summary
Severus Snape had made his choices long ago and didn't think he could ever be worthy of forgiveness. He lives a life of regret for what he has done and resentment for what has been done to him. What Albus Dumbledore asks him to do requires tremendous courage and sacrifice - but he carries out his penance willingly because he knows he is the only one who can do what he can do. Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban, but the horror of his wrongful imprisonment cannot be forgotten. Every day he faces a battle that no one else can ever truly understand, but love for Harry and hope for a better world and the family they'll someday be gives him the strength to keep fighting with an open heart. Harry Potter has always had too much asked of him but he's never had to fight alone. While being forced by Dumbledore to learn Occlumency from Snape over the summer, he realizes that he's had a protector in the professor all along. With the discovery of common ground between them, nothing will ever be the same again. Everyone deserves a second chance.
