A headache starts blooming at the back of his head and Chifuyu has to rub at his eyes a little to stop it from worsening. “Hanma.” God, no amount of the right intonation to his voice could ever convey how utterly tired he feels. “You can’t just decide stuff like that. Usually, a friendship is built on trust and two mutually consenting parties.”
Hanma looks genuinely puzzled at that. “Really?”
They stare at each other for a long moment, before Chifuyu gives up and rolls his eyes. “If I agree to be your friend, can we be the kinda friends that see each other once a year and only send memes over text or something?”
After years of working with animals, it should come to no one's surprise that Matsuno Chifuyu has developed a soft heart for strays. Sure, he wasn't prepared to be dealing with one in the form of a fully grown menace of a man, but now that Hanma Shuji is here, they can pry him from Chifuyu's cold, dead hands.
