Summary
Once upon a time, there was a prince. This prince was the kindest boy in the land, and everyone who ever met him couldn't help but love him. However, this prince had a terrible curse placed upon him by an evil sorceress when he was born. This curse said he was fated to prick his finger on a spindle and fall into an eternal slumber on his sixteenth birthday.
That's the story at least.
Bdubs really is asleep, and an evil sorceress did the job, sure. But thorns aren't what's killing all these would-be suitors. No, that would be Etho.

Summary
Bdubs' mind halts when a heavy weight barrels into him from the side. He didn't even hear the person coming, but now they're on top of him, straddling him, two blue eyes glowing in the darkness. Bdubs blinks in surprise. An android?
He doesn't have time to dwell on it before the android hits him with a brutal backhanded swing. He desperately tries to buck it off of him, legs scrabbling for purchase but sliding on the shards of glass under him.
The android sits back, and Bdubs surges up to follow it, but it slams a hand down heavily on his chest and he goes down hard enough to knock his head against the concrete and glass shards and make black spots dance in his vision. His hand grasps futilely at the android's wrist, nails ripping at its plastic skin.

Tango and Bdubs are caught in the crossfire of a turf war, trapped somwhere they no longer want to be. E-THO has lived his whole existence as a standard issue domestic service android when he suddenly wakes up with a consciousness.
NOTE: If you think you might have seen this fic before, you have! This is a rewritten version that's very different and much better, so please give it a shot :)

"You're really into this guy, huh?" Cleo says as Bdubs settles into his seat at the table. Etho's getting the hang of knitting enough that Bdubs finally feels safe to knit too, while he sits beside him ready to help if needed. He only brings idiot-proof stuff to work, anyway, since he's always getting interrupted.
"Excuse me?" Bdubs asks. He aims for teasing, but it comes out a little too raw for that. She must be joking, but god, shouldn't Cleo know better as his best friend?
"Not like that—" they say quickly. "I know you're aromantic and stuff, I mean. Just, like, that you like him a lot, right? You've got a friend-crush.".

He’d stumbled in during the early hours of the morning, exhausted, throwing his shulkers of diorite on the floor by the door before collapsing onto his bed. Sleep was always hard to come by, nowadays, after seeing Etho. He should apologize. He should say anything, really.
The only thing that puts his mind to rest is the knowledge that it’s ultimately fine to say absolutely nothing. It’s so expected that it’d probably be worse if he did say anything. It’s always been like this- for whatever reason, be it habit, fear, or lack of need- they don’t talk.
Or; Bdubs repeats the same day, over and over. It's annoying, to say the least.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
