“I thought that we could just start being more uh– physical I guess. Just like, as a new norm. So we can get used to it.” Dream rambles, smiling like he didn’t just turn George’s world upside down.
George sputters and coughs around his water, heat rising to his cheeks at the possible implications. “Wh– physical?” He manages. “What do you mean physical?”
“Just, you know, like more affectionate.” Dream clarifies, a little red in the face himself. “I mean, our roles are basically uh lovers so– so I thought we could, like, warm up to it by doing it more often.” The more he talks the more unsure Dream sounds.
And George merely blinks in response because there’s no way the blond doesn’t know what he’s doing to him.

It didn’t sit right with George that Dream would be punished because of something he had done. What would be the harm, anyway, if they let people believe it?
"If it will get you that much shit, then just don't tell them,” he said. “Things blow over eventually, right?"
Dream cocked his head to the side. "What do you mean, not tell them? They think we're together - this is not something I can push under the rug.”
George gestured aimlessly with his hand. It made perfect sense to him. "Why not? I mean, people do it all the time. No comment. Plausible deniability."Or: George goes partying, sleeps with a guy named Clay, and takes an adorable selfie with his cat that kinda breaks the internet. A few days later, Dream enters the picture.

Dream drags his fingers down George’s spine before dipping them in the water. “Okay, here I go,” he announces, and he’s soft—so soft George forgets what they were even arguing about.
He closes his eyes, unable to shake his smile. He takes a deep breath, and not too long after, he finally feels Dream’s wet finger tracing shapes on his skin. Up to the side and down towards the middle, and a mirrored repeat.
“Was that a heart?” George asks, sinking his teeth into his bottom lip. Dream hums, still smiling. “You’re so cheesy.”
Dream kisses his highest vertebra before he goes again.

It’s a moment of desperation that drives George to show Sapnap the most shameful file he has tucked away on his computer - the excel sheet full of all the questions he has about everything sex.
It’s not his fault he doesn’t know, if he’d had a way to, uh, experiment, he’d surely have figured it out by now.
As it is, George is a virgin, and when Dream agrees to help him learn his way around? How can he say no?
The fact that he’s desperately in love with Dream has nothing to do with it, and absolutely won’t cause any problems, no way. George has everything under control.

Almost a year had passed since the call, as George had titled it in his head to avoid acknowledging everything else that it was—so much more than a call. Almost a year since George had confessed to things he’d expected to take to his grave, and almost a year since the two of them had wordlessly moved on like nothing had happened at all. In that time, they’d never spoken about it, which, to be fair, wasn’t unusual. They had also never repeated it.
In over nine months, Dream had woken George with a phone call only twice, and both had been while he was still in London. One was because of a nightmare, and the other was because he was bored and George had been asleep for over twelve hours. Since the call, Dream had not requested any further physiological ‘help’ from George.

Hannah knows she’s not alone in noticing things. Sylvee walks back into the room with Dream trailing behind her, mid-conversation about plans for the following morning, and the two girls instantly look at one another and try not to laugh when Dream cuts himself off halfway through a sentence to ask George if he’s eaten yet.
George tells Dream that he hasn’t, and Dream starts lecturing him about needing to get back onto a better schedule, and there’s something so painfully domestic about the way they speak to one another even while bickering that makes Hannah feel like she’s somehow intruding, despite being in the room first.

He has a point, but Dream can't seem to make sense of it, what kind of answer he's looking for, or what answer to give other than 'so be it.' “Then we have fun with it and move on again. If we both, like, want it, then I don't see why—I mean, what's so wrong with that?”
“'If we both want it,'” George echoes slowly and Dream desperately wishes he knew how to shut the hell up sometimes. “Do you...? Want that?”

Dream sighs. “He likes stupid puns, and he teases me a lot, and he has a pretty smile. He's in computer science and he codes Minecraft plugins. Like, what was I supposed to do?”
“Ugh,” he makes. “Just don't get the wedding planner out before the third date.”
Despite himself, he chuckles a little. “Won't get to that; I don't have his number. Or address, or last name. Just... uh,” he says, inclining his head towards the headband George had forgotten that morning, “those. Which isn't really—like, I'm not gonna... Cinderella him with those.”
Sapnap scoffs and picks them off the desk, tapping one of the bobbles to make it bounce. “Well, do me a favor: if he comes back for these, don't ask him out. It's weird, man. People expect a one-night stand and then there you are—asking to meet their parents.”
OR Dream has a one-night stand with George after picking him up at a party, but it quickly turns out he might feel a bigger connection than that...
