They both hit the wall, and Peter winces, hearing Frank’s head take the brunt of the hit, and he shakes his own head and gets a better grip on him, adjusting him over his shoulder.
A gun falls off of him and clatters to the ground. Peter stands there, in a horse stance, and he stares at it like it’s going to shoot him all on its own.
“I’m just gonna leave that there,” Peter says, patting Frank’s back. “You can come back and get it later.”
Each step is like molasses. Like he’s in quicksand, except he’s not sinking. He’s moving like a robot, anticipating the swinging, because he’s barely got a hold of Frank now, and if he drops him, that’s it. He can’t be the guy that kills the Punisher. It wouldn’t even make sense.

Turns out he should have because Mr Stark’s cafe has this creepy back room that Peter isn’t allowed to enter, and an even creepier repeat customer who is allowed to enter called Obadiah Stane. An overheard conversation, a news article, and MJ’s lateral thinking later, and Peter is sure his new boss is caught up in a rivalry between the two biggest crime families in New York.
Well, with his newly gained spider powers, Peter should be able to put a stop to that. He just has to try not to get too lost in it himself.

Mr. Robertson laid there on his back. His hands were raised in a defensive pose. Sheriff Grey put a hand around his wrist, checking for a pulse. She felt nothing but a dull stiffness. The most disturbing thing was the look of pure terror on the man's face. He was unblinking and unmoving, staring straight ahead with bloodshot eyes. Sheriff Grey felt like he was staring straight through her. His mouth was agape and his entire face was contorted like he was in immense fear and pain. All the while, as far as his wife knew, he had just fallen asleep in the bed.
Sheriff Grey let out a shaky sigh.
This was the fourth death like this in a month.

"He has a little shiny gray arm," Bucky says, wiggling the stuffed arm in question, one of the tweaks made in the new model. It takes Steve a second to realize that Bucky’s got a small smile on his face, actually looks a little bit proud around the eyes.

“Everything is gravy,” Peter does say and he does a finger guns thing which feels very cringe and, judging by Mr. Stark’s single raised eyebrow, also looks very cringe.

Peter rolls in the air, scrambling to grab onto the robot and tear its stupid legs off.
The ground rumbles again, and it sounds like an earthquake, and he knows they’re burrowing, the bigger ones, and thank God they got this whole fight started out here and not in Brooklyn like the bad guys were planning.

Peter walks down the sidewalk, his phone pressed to his ear. “Coney Island?” he asks, his eyes narrowed. It’s been four months since the Vulture incident, and he’d watched the cleanup closely. The beach has been clear for a long time now, but people still go over to the landing spot and dig through the sand, taking pictures where the wreckage was. Peter hasn’t been back yet himself, but whenever someone puts up some kinda Spiderman sign over there, he inevitably receives a text from Ned about it.
“Yeah,” Tony says. “Listen, kid, I don’t want Luna Park and the surrounding area to be some kind of apocalyptic hellscape to you, it’s a great place, lots of fun—”
“Yeah, Yeah, I know—”
“So I wanna take you,” Tony says.
