Summary
She’s lived for sixteen years, spent ten of them loving her, and five of them knowing. Loving Nayeon is a part of her, etched into her blood and flesh and bones and woven in the nebula that imploded to give life to them both. Loving Nayeon is as constant as the tides that come and go and the north star that hangs in the night sky and the inevitable parting of death, yet she will continue to live as long as Nayeon shines, just as the moon is illuminated by the sun’s light.
(or: Jeongyeon’s spent the past ten years pining after Nayeon. Somewhere along the way, things went wrong.)

“I don’t… talk about things like this without making jokes, ever,” January said.
“Oh. One of those things we don’t think about?”
“Probably. I’m fine, though.”
“We’re fine.”
“We are.”
Songshu gets new Earthstronger interns, as part of a scheme to make it easier to become a Martian citizen. River learns more about how Earth gender works. January is forced to cathartically introspect about his own gender for the first time ever and hates every second.

Summary
In return, Sua gives her answers. The simpler ones. "239 is a prime number, so there's no dividing it perfectly," she says, writing down the answer in the blank space. Filling up the empty corners in Mizi's life, arriving at the conclusion she herself has been skirting around. "It should be around 21.7272727? The numbers will just keep re-occurring. There's no clear end to them."
That's what the sea is like, Mizi wants to tell her. Instead, she leans up to peck Sua on the cheek. It's yet another thing that goes unsaid.
(Or: It is hard for Mizi to keep count of the truths and lies. After all, Sua is the one who has always been good at math.)

Summary
"He had come a long way to this blue lawn and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it. He did not know that it was already behind him, somewhere back in that vast obscurity beyond the city, where the dark fields of the republic rolled on under the night.'--F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
