Planes fly by in droves, drop bombs, then race back for more bombs. It will be a miracle if any building is left standing after all of this - but there are no miracles left in the world. The world changes and will change again in the next hundred years but, from here on out, there will always be bombs.

The kid shot him an unimpressed look. “I don’t think you’re supposed to just take these,” he said, but he grabbed two of the mushrooms in rapid succession, stuffing them in his mouth until his cheeks bulged. His eyes widened. “‘s ‘ood,” he said.
Shouta chuckled and shrugged as he ate one himself. “They didn’t stop me from taking it.” He paused to offer the kid more food. “So, who am I sharing this hiding spot with?”

“You mean to tell me that you both have each other’s quirk right now?” Aizawa-sensei looks at Ochako first, who nods eagerly, and then at Todoroki, who also nods, though more tightly, and pinches the bridge of his nose before rubbing his temples.
“And I assume this situation is… temporary?” Aizawa-sensei continues, sounding much like he’d rather be anywhere but here.
“Yes,” Ochako replies, bouncing on her heels a little. The police said it shouldn't last more than a day, so it shouldn't even be a problem with classes!”
Shouto and Ochako swap quirk for a day. Some chaos ensues.

It started with a dull throb at the back of his head—annoying but ignorable. He sat quietly, pen in hand, notebook open, eyes focused on the board. But the ache began rhythmic and slow, dragging down his thoughts like lead weights. Then a throb, like something behind his temples had started to pulse every few seconds.
Todoroki blinked hard, scribbling down the notes on the board, hoping it would pass. He was fine. Just tired. Just... a headache. He's been through much worse. His scar unhelpfully throbbed.
The problem was, it didn’t go away.

Some say that at the end of the summer, kingfishers carry the spirits of the dead away.
In District Four, the birds are never innocent in that. Folktales paint them as something cruel, too fancy to be trusted, tied to myths of abandoned pregnant women. And though some would say carrying the dead is just another dreadful myth, I find this one peaceful.Finnick Odair, from the beginning.
