Summary
May 2011, Brockton Bay. Leviathan attacks and leaves a shattered city in his wake. Protectorate ENE leader Armsmaster is caught breaking the Endbringer truce, giving the higher-ups no other choice but to forcibly ‘retire’ him. For better or worse, the Slaughterhouse Nine have other plans.
Later, Brockton Bay falls to the Nine, and Armsmaster wakes up in an entirely different city to the one he once swore to protect. But the Nine aren't content to just let him go, and instead force him into a deadly race against the most mysterious member of the group, an uncanny woman with unblinking eyes and a thirst for revenge. There will be no compromise. There is only survival.
