“Listen, pal,” Wade starts carefully, the kind of careful that sounds unnatural coming out of him, “if you ever wanted to try… like, really try, the way it’s supposed to go? With someone who actually gives a damn about you having a good time, not just—” he makes a vague little wave of his hand that Logan can’t see but still feels necessary, “—using you ‘cause hey, Wolverine’s a convenient cock-sleeve? The silence stretches. Logan’s breath is hot against Wade’s skin, unmoving now, caught like he doesn’t know if he should back away or press in harder.

Ever since Wade and Logan’s intense saving the multiverse homoerotic bonding moment, the spark’s been kind of missing. Wade figures that two hundred something years of living can make a guy a little resistant to change, even if their new living situationship should arguably be better than what Logan had going on before.
