Aziraphale, always the literary angel, ponders the meanings of words.
It was Crowley who was meant to be bad -- well, Aziraphale supposed he was, but in the way the Artful Dodger or Scaramouche was bad: a little swagger, a little deviousness. He glued coins to pavements, for Heaven’s sake. (Or not.) He brought down the networks of those annoying MyPhones that made everyone isolated in crowds and jangled in the theatre at critical moments. If Crowley was evil, Aziraphale wasn’t sure he wanted to be good any more.

Being an occult being was a double-edged sword, sometimes. If you expected a favourite dining establishment to have a table for you it would, if you expected not to be bothered at dinner you wouldn’t be… and if you expected to experience an episode of alcohol-related amnesia, then you did.
Thing was, if you woke up after said episode with your toga half-off and your legs tangled up with your hereditary enemy’s legs, there was no way to know what had gone on.
