Summary
Suddenly, in the settling night, the bushes rustle. In the underbrush, the verdant leaves tremble, shivering in motion — the movement is large, far larger than any peaceful animal would make.
Out from the thicket, a boy… a creature emerges. The first and only thing he notices for a long while is the bending of it. All else comes later, rushing back: the way it bends and twists at every crease, its overlarge wings unfurling from undiscoverable points and gliding smoothly through the thick air. Its body, colored like smoke, is light stretched over a humanoid frame, and its limbs are so terribly and uncannily long as it picks its way out of the bushes with delicate, beast-like motions. It sways and flickers and creaks. Its teeth and eyes and mouth are empty pools of starlight, torn open through the physicality of its flickering body.
It is looking at Illuga.
As summer wanes, Illuga's entry into the Lightkeepers and his past looms over him. In a moment of respite, he finds a strange, ethereal creature in the bushes.

If Illuga lets Lord Flins be an anchor to her secluded wandering and paranoiac patrols and all the times she wakes in the depths of night gasping for breath; if Illuga reaches forth and touches Lord Flins with her hands as she has touched her; if Illuga presses her tongue to the insides of her cheek and loves her like a husband would a wife —
If she says yes despite her awareness of her own selfishness, she knows: it would be an oath more akin to a marriage vow.

A silver spear with a lantern hanging from the blade. A second lantern, ornate and time-worn, divorced from its usual place at its owner’s hip. Neither of the lanterns are lit with their familiar blue flame.
Illuga is a Lightkeeper. He knows better than anyone in the room what it means when a Lightkeeper’s Oath Lantern has been separated from its bearer.
Flins doesn’t return from the battle against Dottore. Illuga becomes his lantern's keeper.

Summary
The man sharing his bed looked both detached from the worldly affairs of Teyvat, a creature built of cool marble, pristine white streaked with glimmering azure, and achingly desirable. Beautiful was not enough of a word to do him justice.
Ethereal, graceful like the sway of a frostlamp caught in the sea’s breeze, silky hair and smooth skin and those hypnotising eyes, all paired with a gentle smile, its upturned corners etched with a tantalising wickedness like no other. Illuga himself had been a prey of Flins’ charms more times than he cared to count, yet he was still unable to get enough of it.
