“It’s okay.” Toya breathes in. “We can… We can do your thing, if you want,” Toya says, softer than his natural voice already is. Softer like he’s… Softer because he’s… And Akito then notices the slight pink hue that sits under Toya’s mole, sits on his cheeks like a leaf floating on a pond.
“No, yeah,” Akito says; he’s pretty sure it comes out all breathless and rushed—it does kind of feel like he’s been punched in the gut, to be honest. “Let’s do my thing,” he manages.

first bookmark. and for good reason. incredible writing style & pacing & flow, so soft and squishy
