Which was fine.After six months, Atsushi and Akutagawa prepare to face off for their fight. But things have changed between them-and it ends up being more complicated, and less violent, than they expect.

If he concentrated, Megumi could sense thin tendrils of cursed energy coming from upstairs. With his shikigami reappearing by his side, Megumi ventured up the stairs, the hair on his arms standing on end by the time he reached the second floor. The darkness surrounding him felt heavy, like a thick blanket. Whatever curse was hiding up there was much stronger than the ones in the living room.
Megumi needed to be careful. One wrong move and—
Without warning, something hard slammed into Megumi's side. sending him tumbling back down the stairs. Megumi quickly regained his footing, using his momentum to create some distance as the curse came barreling down the stairs after him. It reminded Megumi of a mangy coyote with snapping jaws and loose skin folds that hung like thick curtains. Moving fast, Megumi summoned a few of his rabbit shikigami, allowing them to take the brunt of the curse's attack.

Megumi was what any level-headed sorcerer would call a waste of potential. Because, really, the kid could be something bigger than life if he tried. But the only time Megumi truly applied himself was when he was trying to get bloodstains out of his sweater, when he was trying not to ask Tsumiki why she chose him, or when he was staring Gojo dead in the eyes the same night that the bastard came into his room without knocking, seeing him press a razor into his thigh with practiced sincerity. Yeah. Calling him a waste of potential was as gratifying as killing himself would be.

Summary
It is widely known that when one dies there is a crucial step that must happen before one can find peace and move on to the afterlife.
The deceased will find themselves in a place that holds significance to them. It may not be their favorite place, but rather, the place that defined and shaped them. A place that embedded itself into their very soul. There they will wait until they can meet face to face with the person whose life they changed most.
Once that person enters the space, a span of what humans experience as 24 hours, occurs- no more and no less.
It can be an enemy, a friend, a lover, a child. It cannot be someone who has already passed into the afterlife. The person who joins the deceased must always be someone alive; someone left behind to face the world without the deceased.
And to Gojo's complete surprise, it seems that the person he has impacted most is Fushiguro Megumi.

“I don’t care! I don’t care! I don’t CARE!” Megumi’s words erupted like a volcano, his frustration boiling over into tears as he stomped his feet. Satoru was so sad he hadn’t even realized Megumi didn’t want to hear him talk about his death. It was sad and Megumi wanted it to stop.
“I just wanna talk to you about cool stuff! Like, like, Digimon and the cartoons we watch! I wanna talk about my Cursed Technique and going to Jujutsu High! I don’t wanna hear about how he killed you! I don’t care!” His voice cracked with emotion, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air.
He cried because Satoru wasn’t able to when he should’ve been allowed to.
It wasn’t fair.
“W–What are you talking about? What cool stuff, I–?”
“I just wanna talk to you about Hydreigon, but you won’t listen to me! Just listen to me, stop talking about how you died! Just stop, stop!” He sobbed out, his fingers digging into his palm as he angrily stared up at his shocked guardian.
Megumi gets a new Pokemon card and all he wants to do is show his guardian. But with his death anniversary coming up, Gojo is stuck in the past and can't seem to understand.

Megumi wanted Gojo back.
That was all there was to it. Maybe it was Gojo that had struck him with five Infinite Voids and nearly killed him. Maybe it was Gojo that had tossed out any and every care in the world while he was fighting Sukuna, even if it meant almost destroying Megumi’s body in the process. Maybe it was Gojo that had died trying to save him and had failed in the end.
Megumi didn’t care.
Gojo had to come back.
