She had known that something was wrong since breakfast, as her son rarely missed a meal, unless he was feeling unwell.She had heard the whole conversation - including the part about Hyacinth reading the discarded Whistledown columns, which she chose to ignore - and was especially interested about Colin’s comment about not having a dream that night.
Her son was not telling the truth.
