But then came the second sound: a raw, human exhale, sharp and guttural, and unmistakably close. Evelyn blinked, set down her glass, and leaned forward, squinting through the rain-glossed darkness. The fire escape’s upper landing, usually deserted and grimy, now hosted a slumped, broad-shouldered shape wedged awkwardly against the railing.

Summary

Summary
It’s always a bad time when a bat intrudes on a Red Hood case. Jason doesn't take kindly to interference of any sort and Dick is the epitome of an unwanted irritant. The night would have been easier for both of them had Dick not recognized Jason by tits alone. It's all distraction from there. Hardly ideal circumstances when trying to outplay the mob.
