Illuga lifts his eyes to meet Flins's, head cocked just slightly to the side, as he mends a tear in the sleeve of one of his sweaters. They are alone, so the formalities are unnecessary, but Illuga doesn't mind. He's long come to terms with the fact that Flins will speak how he is wont to, and there is not a soul upon Teyvat that can stop him or his endlessly flattering tongue.
(Not that Illuga ever wants to stop Flins's tongue, but that is neither here nor there.)

Summary
Perhaps the first sign that something was wrong wasn’t the fact that the archon had had Alhaitham stop all Akademiya activities until further notices, or that there had been more fights breaking out all over Sumeru. Perhaps the first sign that something was wrong was that as soon as the Akasha was turned off permanently, the very air changed.
For five hundred years, Sumeru lived with the Akasha system taking their dreams and giving them information at their fingertips. Unbeknownst to them, it also suppresses all secondary genders, and Sumeru walked as the only nation in Teyvat without having to worry about their secondary genders rearing its head in. The moment the system was taken down, the suppression lifted.
Alhaitham marked Kaveh in the height of his rut, too lost in the lust to truly realize what he was doing. In turn, Kaveh struggled with a one-way mating bond thinking Alhaitham didn’t want him.
