Summary
"So we start dating," Buck says, "and it's... it's incredible. Eye-opening, obviously, but just- just warm, you know? Comfortable. Like, hey, maybe- maybe this could be it. And then on our six month anniversary, he tells me he's gay."
Abby snorts. "You hadn't picked up on that by then? Him dating another man wasn't a big clue?"
"Hey, well, I'm not! And, I don't know, he'd said it before, but I didn't know he was like... Kinsey six gay. We hadn't exactly talked about exes. Not until that night. So I asked if he'd ever been with a woman, and he said he'd been engaged to a woman once, but that he'd broken it off and really hurt her. He said she started dating some young himbo after him. I already felt bad for her, but then... then, uh, he said- he said that the woman was you."
Abby stops in the middle of dimpling the dough. Her body locks down. What are the odds?
"You're dating Tommy?"
Or:
Abby gets a call from Buck out of the blue, learns that her ex-fiancé just dumped him, and reflects on people becoming different versions of themselves. -

Summary
It doesn't happen the next time they see each other, but it does happen again. It happens again and again, and soon it starts happening every time Buck goes to Athena's house. They still have dinner, but sometimes they fuck while their food simmers; Athena held tight in Buck’s arms, legs wrapped around his hips as he fucks her fast and hot against the smooth marble countertop. Sometimes he’s allowed to take off Bobby’s apron, but usually it’s left to hang between their bodies, like it could cover what they’re doing. Buck doesn’t mind. It’s the only time Athena keeps her eyes open.
Or:
After Bobby dies, Buck and Athena use each other to feel close to him again. -

Summary
from the prompt: bucktommy + sharing secrets
And it’s not like everything that Tommy had been hiding from him was bad. A lot of them are little, exceedingly kind things that Tommy felt were embarrassing for his cool younger boyfriend to see him doing. Even now, he won’t make eye contact with Buck after he grabs his elderly neighbor’s mail from the mailbox and walks it up to her porch to hand it to her directly. He shrugs it off when he mows her lawn, too.
“She took a bad fall about ten years back,” Tommy explains. “I have to do my lawn anyway, so I might as well keep going once I’ve got the mower out. It’s not a big deal.”
It’s not, but at the same time it kind of is. It reminds Buck why he fell for Tommy in the first place.

Summary
When Tommy wakes with the sun, he gets up to start making breakfast. After last night, he’d barely slept anyway: too giddy, too lucky, too terrified.
He tries to be quiet. It’s the least he can do. He and Evan had crossed a line last night, having such loud sex while Eddie was in the next room. The house is Evan’s house now, his name is on the lease and everything, but there’s still no excuse for making your friend listen to you fuck after he’d flown eight hundred miles and given up family time to go out drinking with you.
Well, there’s no excuse for Tommy to have done it. Evan had completely forgotten there was someone else in the house. He’s innocent. Tommy smiles to himself as he cracks eggs into a bowl. Even knowing it was wrong, he can’t help still being a little smug about it. He can’t help feeling like he won.

The morning after Buck and Tommy have loud sex when Eddie is in the other room, they apologize over breakfast.Series

Summary
Eddie's discomfort feels more Catholic than like repressed queer desire, but Tommy doesn’t know him that well yet. He doesn’t know either of them that well yet, not really. All he knows is that Evan has been unaware of his blatant attraction to men for over thirty years and that Eddie has a weird enough relationship with sex to go red at even the mention of anal fingering. He knows that they’re absurdly close. And he knows with startling clarity that no one in their right mind would look at Evan and not want to keep him for themselves.
Jealousy burns hot. Tommy clenches and unclenches his fist. Evan is a breath of clean mountain air after a lifetime spent in a series of smoky rooms. He’s not ready to let Evan go so easily. Not yet. Not when this is all so new. Not when Evan makes him feel like this.
Or:
Five times Tommy saw Eddie as competition, and one time he finally accepted there was no competition.Series

Summary
"Uh-huh. Great, huh? Been putting in a lot of extra-credit time with the boss, Whitaker?"
And that's nasty, he knows. He knows the feeling of needing desperately to keep a secret. The shameful heat of the benzos in his pocket, the blissful hot drip of cum in his scrubs. He shouldn't be toying with Whitaker like this. And yet."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Frank, back from rehab, finds himself replaced.
Whitaker finds himself feeling something like pity. (Is that all?)
Robby - well. Who the fuck knows what Robby feels?

Summary
“Well.” Michael puts his glass down on his coaster. Taps the hobnailed glass with his fingertips, once, twice. Then, as casually as he’s said anything else that evening, “I had a really shitty day at work and I was hoping to work that frustration out by fucking some stranger.”
“I’m a stranger.” Dennis hears himself say.

Dennis goes to a gay bar for the first time. He meets a handsome stranger called Michael. Smut ensues. Definitely no consequences will follow.Series

Summary
“Okay, so I thought I had a way better poker face. I guess I don't, and now we're going to talk about this. Sal said something when we took the kids to the beach that’s just sort of gotten stuck in my brain.”
Buck scoots closer, still sitting sideways on the couch, but now his knee is pressed to Tommy’s thigh. “What did he say? Was it—”
“Nothing bad,” Tommy reassures him, closing his eyes and digging his palms into them with a laugh. “He, uh, he said that it’s lucky you can’t get pregnant, because the way I was looking at you, I would’ve put a baby in you already.”
---
And then he tries to. That's it, that's the fic.

Summary
He follows the guy inside and toward the back. "I'm, uh, Evan. Buck. Evan Buckley."
The guy looks over his shoulder and grins, which makes him look like a movie star instead of a mob enforcer. "Sal Deluca."
They get to the backyard, and there's another man there. He's got a shovel in the ground and is leaning on it while he taps on his phone screen with a frown.
"Babe, I don't think we need to dig that deep for a tree this small," he says, glancing up and then doing a double-take. Buck almost does one himself. The guy is big, maybe only his height but big. "Who's this?"
"Evan Buck Evan Buckley," Sal says, and Buck flushes, waving at the other man.
"Tommy," the man says, checking his hand before sticking it out to shake. "Sorry, I've been doing yard work all morning. You're the new neighbor, right?"
"Y-yeah," Buck says. "I just moved in a few days ago."
--
Buck gets into a nice-off with his new neighbors.
