Summary
Yet herein will I imitate the sun,
Who doth permit the base contagious clouds
To smother up his beauty from the world.-William Shakespeare, Henry IV
Scotland, 17th century. While on an assignment at the small village of Inverkeithing, Crowley and Aziraphale accidentally get a little too involved with witchfinders and religious fundamentalists, who may be more bloodthirsty and cunning than they had realised. With their lives at stake and a dangerous heavenly artefact fallen in the wrong hands, the angel and demon will need to work together to get out of their predicament without raising their respective bosses’ suspicion.
Or, how the “I was wrong” dance came to be, and why Aziraphale had to perform it in 1650.
