Summary
Jason Todd, age eleven, finds himself in the middle of a vigilante fight. He doesn't recognize anything until he sees Robin, who promptly gets hit by a light and turns into a boy about Jason's age. Jason's happy to stick by the other boy even though, for some reason, he keeps insisting that Jason is the one who's supposed to be Robin.

Tim needs to cut this off, now. “I’ll give you the tips and tricks, okay?” Calm. Calm, steady. Be there, be a rock for him, that he can’t fucking use to stay above water, because you're not there–
In a voice small enough that Tim has to strain to hear it above the water, Jason says, “Okay.”
OR: Jaybin drowns. All Tim can do is hope he isn't too late.

A hand smaller than his, warmer than his, bruised fingers and stained with blood, grabs onto one of his hands and squeezes. Jason tugs himself closer with the grip and leans forward until Jason’s head is resting against his shoulder. “Can we go home now, Tim?” he whispers.
Yes. Corpse or alive, it’s time to bring Robin home.
OR:
Robin has been captured for a week. Red Hood goes in to save him. It brings up some... unpleasant memories.
Will Tim be able to work past them to get Jason home safe? And what about the aftermath?[reverse robins]

Summary
Tim knows how the saying goes. "Don't meet your heroes". He knows it, he's lived it. Neither Batman nor Nightwing were nearly as cool in person as twelve year old Tim had imagined. They were disasters barely held together- mostly by Alfred. It's a lesson all children have to learn, that all your heroes are just people. Flawed people who are going to let you down.
At least Jason Todd will never be able to disappoint him.
