At the Ashford Tourney, Aerion Targaryen is shamed before the court by a black-armoured stranger who nearly kills him in the sword competition and then removes her helm to reveal herself as Visenya Belaerys, Commander of Asshai.
She has crossed the world to bargain for aid against the dead gathering near Stygai.

Tanselle struggled not to cower in front of him. “When we touched,” she began hesitantly. “It was like fire had burned me.”
The princeling sneered. “It is proof of the Gods marking us,” he said shortly. “Although I don’t know why they saddled me with a Dornish bastard girl.”
Tanselle didn’t know why either.

He slid a finger along the meat of her cheek, then tapped the corner of her mouth. The gesture was neither tender nor cruel, but exploratory, as if he sought the answers of her face in the texture of her flesh.
"So full," he murmured, half to himself. "The horse-faced bitches of King's Landing would murder their own septas for lips like yours, girl. They would weep to see you."

Lady Gwin Ashford is thoroughly peeved.
