Summary
Shota was curled in his bed while scrolling on his phone, head lifting when he heard Jongseob’s knock. A few seconds later the blonde emerged through his door. “Hi.” He almost whispered.
“Just met Keeho.” He let out a small huff, almost a relieved breath as he rested against the door, eyes softening as he noticed how sleepy Shota was while laying on his bed.
Shota’s eyes widened at Jongseob’s words, the fact that Keeho was in after cancelling plans completely slipped his tired mind. “Oh shit- I forgot-”
“It’s okay, Shota.” Jongseob reassured him with a smile as he approached the bed, slowly sitting down on the edge of it as he met Shota’s tired gaze.

Shota is adamant about not letting his boyfriend, Jongseob, and his roommate, Keeho, cross paths ever for some unknown reason, forcing the couple to sneak around... though one day the sneaking around fails and they do indeed cross paths.

He’s not flirting with her. He’s not saying that to say it. It makes the whole thing so, so much worse. She doesn’t know how to keep up with this, how to stay calm when he does this.
But. It’s Shota. He’s always been awfully good at tugging Jongseob along to his rhythm, catching all the flyaway strands of her seams as he goes, laughing in delight. And that’s the real miracle: that Jongseob’s been able to keep in step with him this entire time. She prays she never falls out of step, that their rhythm carries on.
When you ask about love, no one ever thinks to tell you that being in love with your best friend is at once wonderful and terrifying.

Summary
The pandemic was merciless - a super-virus that could kill in as little as eight hours from onset. Started with fever, headache, profuse sweating, and ended with a brain pushed to aneurysm or overheating. It was a brutal way to go, and it was so contagious that the government couldn't take action quickly enough.
Everyone was gone. Everyone except Jongseob. Some might have called him lucky, but he would never use that word to describe himself, wandering the world alone.
After months of scraping by to survive in a desolate, collapsing world, however, Jongseob finally discovers that he wasn't the only one cursed to live. Haku Shota can't tell him much, given that he can only speak a handful of Korean words, but if there's one thing he makes clear, it's that he's here to survive.
