It was on her thirteenth birthday that Kakashi-sensei gave her a giftset of embroidered paper and ink pens. Sakura honestly confessed that she had no idea what to write. Seeing the corners of his eyes crinkle, Kakashi-sensei whispered a prompt that she still wrote about till this very day.
Old habits die hard, he supposed. For a long time, he left the letters unaddressed until Sakura’s name appeared. It was unknown when, but since then, every written paper has been for Sakura. The more he wrote, the more he promised to protect their future together.
Missing Sasuke, Sakura writes him another letter. Missing Sakura, Sasuke writes her another letter.

Coming home from a tiring mission, Kakashi's looking forward to just settle back on his bed and read the newest novel of Jiraiya-sama which the man had handed to him when they passed each other near the gate.
He forgot to hide it away when he entered home, seeing as Kushina didn't like Jiraiya's literature anywhere near Naruto. Just his luck that he ends up babysitting the little ball of sunshine while sensei and Kushina-nee are in the kitchen.

Summary
Meeting Sasuke’s eyes once more, Sakura pursed her lips. Sasuke’s apartment was only a short distance from hers and, by proxy, only a short distance from the hospital. Looking down at her soaked sandals, she pondered. This only had to be as awkward as she made it.
Clearly, Sasuke didn’t mind Sakura staying with him or else he wouldn’t have offered. However, that didn’t make things much easier. Her feelings towards Sasuke were a jumbled mess that Sakura hadn’t had much time to untangle, but one thing was still certain: she still loved him. Despite everything, a part of her heart still couldn’t rid itself of the spot Sasuke had burrowed himself into. And yet, she wasn’t sure how he felt towards her. The last thing she wanted to do was scare him off, especially when they were in such a good place. For the first time in her life, Sakura could confidently say that she and Sasuke were friends, and she was terrified of potentially ruining that.
Or, five times Sasuke tries to let Sakura into his life, and the one time she finally understands.
